The article considers the ecological role of green spaces in protecting the environment of urban areas
from negative impacts. The sources of pollutants into the environment of the city of Pavlodar are reflected. The
combined influence of anthropogenic factors has led to a serious deterioration of the environmental situation,
especially within cities. Suggestions have been made to improve the environmental situation in urban areas
