The article presents statistical data describing the severity and prevalence of this problem. The relevance of addressing this issue among children and adolescents is confirmed. The aim of the study is to assess the possibility of using legal measures as a mechanism for preventing gambling addiction. The results of sociological studies assessing addiction to gambling, computer games, and the Internet are presented. The main mechanisms of socio-psychological prevention and legal regulation of gambling addiction are examined.
