In Kazakhstan, there is an increase in crime, which is related to various social, economic, and technological factors. In the face of contemporary challenges, a comprehensive approach to combating crime is required, including the implementation of digital technologies, the tightening of criminal legislation, strengthening international cooperation, and the creation of specialized units to combat cybercrime. Despite the efforts of law enforcement agencies, the effectiveness of the measures taken remains a subject of debate. To study the current measures to combat crime in Kazakhstan, assess their effectiveness, and propose ways to improve law enforcement activities through the implementation of innovative technologies, enhancing international cooperation, and strengthening preventive measures. A comprehensive analysis of literature on crime control issues, judicial practice, crime statistics, as well as the opinions of criminologists and legal scholars, has been conducted. Methods of content analysis, comparative legal analysis, as well as approaches based on the analysis of crime data and legal impact measures, were used. The process of combating crime in Kazakhstan can be classified into several key areas: the digitalization of law enforcement agencies, tightening legislation, international cooperation, and the development of specialized units. The results of the study emphasize the need for a comprehensive approach that combines legal, social, and technological aspects. An important conclusion is the need for further improvement of preventive measures and the development of social programs aimed at reducing crime levels and increasing public trust in law enforcement agencies.
