Annotation: The article describes the problems of preparing students using an electronic textbook. The article notes the special importance of the informatics course in the system of secondary vocational education in modern conditions. An attempt was made to analyze some aspects of the development of an electronic textbook. We consider the problem of methodological support, the need to use an electronic textbook in computer science lessons.
