The article examines the role of practice-oriented training in the professional training of future psychologists. Аn analysis of theoretical approaches confirming the importance of integrating theory and practice into the educational process was carried out. An empirical study found that the use of active teaching methods (case method, role playing, supervision, internships) contributes to an increase in the level of professional competence, student confidence and their readiness to work with clients. The research methods to achieve this goal, a set of research methods is used, including questioning, interviews, observation and analysis of documentation. Recommendations have been developed to strengthen the practical component in training, expand partnerships and integrate practical elements into lectures and seminars. The findings of the study can be useful for improving educational programs for the preparation of specialists
