The ecological role of green spaces in protecting the environment from the negative impacts of the city: the example of Pavlodar city
Annotation: The article considers the ecological role of green spaces in protecting the environment of urban areas from negative impacts. The sources of pollutants into the environment of the city of Pavlodar are reflected. The combined influence of anthropogenic factors has led to a serious deterioration of the environmental situation, especially within cities. Suggestions have been made to improve the environmental situation in urban areas

Probiotics and prebiotics as the basis of functional nutrition
Annotation: The article presents the rationale for the use of fermented milk products containing probiotics and prebiotics for the prevention of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. A method for preparing a functional fermented milk drink with prebiotics that helps normalize the intestinal microflora is also presented. The urgency is due to the wide spread gastrointestinal diseases among the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, due to lack of nutrients essential for development of normal intestinal flora, and also with the instability of some types of probiotics, which reduces the efficiency of their use.

Monitoring of drinking water in the water supply system of Ekibastuz city
Annotation: On the basis of research on bacteriological indicators of the water supply system in the Ekibastuz region for the period 2016-2018 the 310 cases of detection of pathogenic microflora were identified. The chemical indicators are given the results of research to determine the content of toxic elements and heavy metals in the source and purified water, as well as in the distribution network of Ekibastuz. The largest number of pathogenic microflora cases and a high concentration of chemical elements are noted during the flood season. Sporadic pathogenic microflora and chemical elements are also recorded in the winter and summer periods.
