Annotation: The article presents the results of a study of personnel management system, conducted in a large coal mining company, which had revealed certain weaknesses in the organization of the management of personnel along with the lack of strategic quality planning. Additionally, there are recommendations made for the improvement of methods aimed at assessment of competitiveness of personnel.
